Open Question: Will backup discs work..?

My laptop tried to repair itself but it froze so this guy tried to fix it by taking everything off, & I don't have the original discs to put everything back on it. My mom got a new computer and it has windows 7. If she makes backup discs & puts it on my computer will it put Windows 7 on to it? Oh, & the guy changed out security password for our internet & we don't know what it is so would it put the internet on my laptop?... Read More »
